The practical Böker Plus Appalachian Origin Mini Axe is a compact and versatile axe perfect for camping and home use. The axe head is crafted from 1055 carbon steel in the Rhineland style. The universally designed blade thickness is equally suitable for felling and splitting. The lower tip (heel) of the cutting edge can be used as a turning nose for pieces of wood. The black coating on the blade effectively protects the material from rust. The handle is made from the finest long-fibre American ash wood, which is far superior to European ash in terms of resilience and shock resistance. The handle is wedged twice with a wooden wedge and steel sleeve, and its short design makes it particularly suitable for longer, effortless work with one hand, such as when cutting kindling for cooking fires.
