FR models have wider blades, but in the FR Mini model, it's the opposite - it has a more elegant narrower blade, but it certainly doesn't detract from its functionality. The blade is made of Japanese VG-10 steel, which is supported by ball bearings and locked in place by the Framelock mechanism. The handle is entirely made of titanium, including the clip.
