The blade features a tanto style with a plain edge, constructed from D2 tool steel, a material that has been utilized for various cutting tools since World War II. This steel is durable, easy to sharpen, and maintains its edge exceptionally well. However, it is not fully stainless, so caution should be exercised around moisture and acids. It's crucial to clean and dry the blade after use, and occasionally applying a drop of oil is beneficial.The blade is finished with a blackwashed treatment, where it is initially coated and then tumbled.
