President Cold Steel, Lynn C. Thompson, has spent his whole life collecting walking sticks and wooden weapons, amassing a considerable collection of these beautifully handcrafted sticks. He has always had a particular fondness for the Knob Kerrie, a walking stick with a ball head from Africa. Cold Steel's interpretation of this African walking stick incorporates some of the best features of the traditional Zulu Kerrie - a wavy knob and a prominent ball - but instead of using expensive exotic hardwoods, they are made from highly durable polypropylene. This means that, in addition to being incredibly resilient, it does not rot, deform, crack, split, swell, shrink, mold, or fade. While its primary function will always be a walking stick that helps maintain balance and provides support on slippery or uneven terrain, it also serves as an effective self-defense option in case of emergency.
