Wes Crawford, a custom knife maker, has been a friend of Cold Steel for years, so they were happy to collaborate with him on creating a more affordable version of one of Crawford's expensive custom knives. The result was the Crawford Model 1. The blade made of stainless steel 4116 opens with a flipper. In the open position, it is held by a Linerlock safety, supplemented by a secondary sliding safety. The handle is made of a strong zytel material. At the end of the handle, there is a hole for a lanyard. The knife is equipped with a pocket clip for carrying.
