Cold Steel created the Dragonfly series as a more durable version of the Emperor models and equipped it with thicker, wider, and heavier blades. To stay true to its name, the swords are adorned with intricate dragonfly motifs. Wakizashi swords often served as secondary weapons or for combat in tight spaces. The blade is made of tempered 1060 carbon steel. The attractive handle is made of hard wood, tightly wrapped with turquoise silk cord, and features traditional Menuki and Samé (Ray Skin) inserts. The included black lacquered Saya (scabbard) is made of hard wood. The packaging also includes a fabric cover for carrying and storing the sword.
