Thompson Saber from Cold Steel is not a historical or period-specific weapon, but designed as a modern combat saber. The design is by President of Cold Steel, Lynn C. Thompson. The black surface treatment enhances rust resistance but also makes it difficult for the enemy to see the blade during quick attacks or strikes! The blade is made of 1055 carbon steel, treated with blackening. The guard provides excellent hand protection. The handle is covered with ray skin and wrapped with wire for comfortable grip even when using modern fencing gloves. Thompson Saber comes with a thick leather sheath that has a metal tip.
