The GiantMouse GMF2 Scout is an impressive fixed blade knife, crafted by renowned designers Jens Ansø and Jesper Voxnaes. It serves as an enhanced version of our original GMF2, tailored to be the perfect camping companion. The fixed blade is crafted from Böhler N690, a highly corrosion-resistant steel with a Stonewash finish. It is durable and easy to sharpen, even with limited resources. The blade features a full-tang construction, meaning it extends through the entire knife. The stonewashing process involves placing the blade in a drum with ceramic stones or media, which is then vibrated or tumbled for several hours. This results in a finish that can appear either precisely polished or rugged, depending on the version. The benefit of stonewashing is that signs of wear are significantly less visible, making it a favored choice for knives that undergo frequent use. The handle is crafted from green Micarta, a composite material made from fabric and synthetic resin. This material is robust, stable, and offers excellent grip.
