The winter up north can be cold and unforgiving. The new Nord Sleipner is designed to withstand it. We've upgraded the stainless 3.7 mm blade of the standard Nord to a robust 4 mm Sleipner steel blade. The handle retains its innovative dual-grip design - a front grip for precision tasks, and a back grip for chopping. However, the increased weight and blade thickness make this version more suited for chopping and heavy-duty tasks. This model also includes white liners and a black sheath. Nord (North) is more than just a direction. It embodies strength, the darkness of winter, and the brightness of summer. The dramatic seasonal changes, the deep connection to nature, and the influence it has on us are integral to how we at Helle perceive our place in the northern culture. The Nord knife is crafted to meet the challenges of the Scandinavian Wilderness. It emerges from our knife-making traditions and pushes beyond what is typically expected from Helle. Note: Sleipner is a tool steel, and it will rust if exposed to moisture over time. Be sure to wipe the blade after use and regularly apply a thin coat of oil to protect it.
