The knives quickly became very popular and gained a reputation outside of the battlefield. And they are still popular after more than seventy years. The blade is made of 1095 Cro-Van carbon steel with a black rust-resistant coating. The handle is traditionally made of layered pieces of leather. Fingers are protected against injuries by a half-guard, and the typical pommel is located at the end of the handle. The knife comes with a leather sheath.
