The Microtech Scarab II® Gen III 1279-10APOD is currently the largest double-action out-the-front knife in Microtech products. Knife takes inspiration from the original Microtech Ultratech design. Built to withstand the toughest conditions, the new Scarab II is the ultimate choice for heavy use. Tanto blade with plain edge and flat grind is made of Apocalyptic finished stainless steel M390MK, made exclusively for Microtech. Offers excellent edge retention, high corrosion resistance, and long-lasting cutting performance.The revolutionary double blade unfolding mechanism not only provides smoother operation for easier opening, but the double spring design propels the blade forward with enough force to make the knife open even underwater.X-Button thumb slide opener with double-spring deployment/retraction. The method of opening provides seamless opening for both right and left-handed people.  The handle is made with perfect precision in 3D technology on CNC milling machines, from polished and brushed OD green aluminum 6061-T6. Perfectly fitted inlays (inlay) made of special 3M Traction Tape material with sandpaper texture make the knife non-slip in the hand during use.  The slim profile and milled two-position (right/left) solid deep-carry clip allow the knife to be carried discreetly in the pocket, in tip-down position. The clip features the line's signature scarab pictogram. The Handle is finished with a glass breaker, a solid steel triangle into which a tungsten carbide ball has been pressed. It also features a hole for interweaving a decorative line.
