Spyderco C79PSYL Assist Salt Lightweight Yellow H1/Carbide Tip Spyderco Assist was designed for emergency professionals - firefighters, rescuers, and the like. These knives must be absolutely reliable, fully functional in every situation and any weather. The rescue blade with a blunt tip is made of H-1 steel, which is extremely corrosion resistant and therefore suitable for water and salty environments. It is designed for fast and aggressive cutting of safety belts, ropes, cords, and fibrous materials. It is serrated almost along the entire length of the cutting edge. The serration ends just a short distance from the blunt tip. The blade opens manually with a circular hole on the blade. Next to it is a grooved protrusion for easier opening and, above all, a firm and safe resting place for the thumb while cutting. The blade is also shaped on the top side to make it easier to use in a semi-open position, like a rope knife, without having to fully open the knife. The handle is maximally secure and has a clear yellow color. It is made of FRN material and ergonomically shaped, with a comfortable grip from both sides.
