These three attributes create one of the strongest knives from Spyderco to date. The Manix 2, patented by Spyderco, has a ball bearing lock. It is a hardened free-floating ball bearing contained in a typical hi-tech polymer cage. The round ball bearing allows the lock to self-adjust smoothly and securely. The strength of the Ball Bearing Lock, which develops over time, withstands tough work with a secure, versatile, and comfortable grip. The ergonomics in this design are unique. The blade is made of CPM-S110V steel. This state-of-the-art powdered metallurgy steel contains high amounts of vanadium and niobium alloys, which provide exceptional wear resistance and higher corrosion resistance than many other stainless steels. It has a flat profile with aggressive thumb jimping for good thumb support during cutting. The blade opens with a large 14mm round hole from Spyderco. The handle is made of dark blue FRN material.
