Spyderco C118SYL Saver Salt Lightweight Yellow H1 Another addition to the Salt Series knife line-up from Spyderco is the Saver Salt. The blades on all "salt" models are made from a special alloy called H-1. H-1 is a high-quality stainless steel that is of particular interest to fishermen, sailors, and divers because it is rust-proof. H-1 has comparable cutting properties to other high carbon steels, but carbon has been replaced with nitrogen, giving it excellent performance in saltwater environments. The Sheerfoot Saver Salt knife blade is rounded at the tip to prevent puncturing inflatable boats or causing injury. This makes it popular among boaters as well. The handle is made of FRN material - a fiberglass-reinforced nylon resin, which is available in black or yellow. The blade lock is a back lock. The knife also has a pocket clip and a lanyard hole.
