Spyderco FB32GP Serrata G-10 Black Spyderco Serrata is designed by knifemaker and designer Stuart Ackerman. During his time in the military, he gained experience and knowledge of what a survival knife should look like and what it should be capable of. Serrata is designed as a perfect cutting tool. It combines the versatility of a kitchen knife with a solid and shaped handle that allows for a firm and secure grip. The blade is made of cast 440 C steel (not rolled). Unlike traditional rolled steel, cast steel forms a dendritic crystalline structure. This process introduces microscopic crystals into the steel, which create micro-serrations along the edge. These micro-serrations enhance the blade's bite into the material being cut and allow it to maintain sharpness significantly longer than traditional steels. The flat grind, drawn evenly from the top edge to the cutting edge, provides the blade with maximum cutting performance. The knife is Full Tang, with the scales attached to the blade with rivets. They are shaped and made of layered black G-10 material (high-density layered laminate). The knife comes with a black Boltaron sheath, which includes a G-Clip for attaching the sheath to a belt or backpack in various positions.
