Materials from the Supernova - The Titanium HandleAs revealed by the Chandra X-ray Observatory, titanium is formed from the explosive force of supernovas. To honor this cosmic inspiration, we utilized precision CNC machining to craft the handle from Grade 5 titanium. This choice of material, combined with meticulous machining, results in an ideal balance of strength, thickness, and tolerance. We've enhanced our product with additional jimping at the end of the handle, offering improved traction and a more secure grip during use. From Turbine Engines to Your Hand - The 154CM Blade154CM is a highly esteemed knife steel, originally developed as a bearing steel for gas turbine engines. It provides an excellent mix of hardness, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and durability. Renowned knife maker Bob Loveless helped popularize 154CM steel in the knife community. The Vosteed Parallel is equipped with a 0.078” thick (2mm) 154CM blade, delivering an outstanding slicing and cutting performance.
