The hunting sword was a popular weapon with a short blade that gained popularity in Europe and North America during the 16th and 17th centuries. Just like many originals from that time, our version is unique. The blade with a slightly raised tip is made of 1055 steel with a high carbon content. The intricately hand-carved handle is made of rosewood and adorned with nickel rivets. The decorated guard, forward-curved shell-shaped protective quillon, and pommel are made of steel. The scabbard is made of strong black leather and decorated with relief nickel plating at both ends.
