The ESEE-5 knife was designed by SERE military instructors as a survival knife for downed pilots that can be used in challenging situations. With its 0.25" blade thickness, it is a large fixed blade knife that is sturdy, durable, and practical. These knives are made of high carbon 1095 steel. While 1095 steel is a top choice for professional cutlery intended for demanding use, it can rust and stain if not properly cared for - especially on the edge and around laser engraving. The user is responsible for proper blade lubrication and cleaning. The handle is equipped with Micarta scales that are durable and waterproof. The knife also features a spine jimping, full tang construction, lanyard hole, and glass breaker. The knife comes with a kydex sheath, clip plate, paracord lanyard, and lanyard lock.
