The folding pocket knife Spyderco Endura 4 Cobalt Blue C10PCBL is a special edition of the Endura 4 series. This model boasts a blade crafted from CPM SPY-27 steel, a material developed in collaboration with Spyderco specifically for their knives. The Spyderco Endura is the ideal choice for enthusiasts who appreciate Spyderco's craftsmanship but find the Spyderco Delica a tad too compact. The Clip Point blade with a plain edge and full flat grind is constructed from Satin finished CPM-SPY27 steel. This steel is akin to CPM S30V and CPM S35VN, offering comparable edge retention and toughness. However, SPY27 is slightly easier to sharpen due to the inclusion of cobalt and reduced carbon and vanadium content. The knife can be effortlessly opened with one hand using the thumb hole. Once deployed, the robust Backlock mechanism secures the blade, preventing accidental closure during use. The combination of the thumb hole and Backlock makes this knife user-friendly for both left-handed and right-handed individuals. The handle is made from cobalt blue FRN (Fibre-Reinforced Nylon), a type of plastic composed of nylon and reinforced with glass fibers for enhanced strength and durability. FRN is also referred to as GFN. The knife features a metal hourglass clip with four-way (up/down, right/left) 4-way clip positions. Additionally, there is a lanyard hole at the back of the handle, providing a spot for attaching a cord.
