Spyderco C41GP5 Native 5 G-10 Black After thorough internal blade performance testing, Spyderco has decided to change the blade steel of the Native 5 model from CPM-S35VN steel to CPM-S30V steel, so some versions of Native 5 will have different steels. This change also applies to the materials used for the G10 and FRN handles. Most versions of the Native 5 model will be equipped with G-10 material. The knife blade is made of CPM-S30V steel. It is full flat ground, which helps with cutting performance. It opens with the round hole on the blade, characteristic of Spyderco. The blade locks open with a back lock. The handle is made of black G-10 material. It is slightly contoured with a fine textured finish for added grip. The liners are skeletonized with nested steel liners for added strength. The pocket clip is stainless steel, polished, and four-position. There is a lanyard hole in the handle.
