The American custom knifemaker, Lucas Burnley, captures the essence of Japanese Kihon with the design of the Boker Plus Kihon DC. This term traditionally refers to the core principles and foundational techniques of Japanese martial arts, which Burnley translates into a practical, robust everyday knife. Its features and straightforward design highlight its exceptional functionality, making it perfect for daily cutting tasks. The satin-finished drop-point blade, crafted from the edge-retention and highly corrosion-resistant Nitro-V, opens effortlessly via the removable thumb stud, thanks to the ball bearings. The slide-lock of the crossbar lock ensures intuitive, safe, and practical unlocking of the knife. This full-size EDC feels extremely comfortable and well-balanced in the hand, courtesy of its high-strength aluminium handle with distinctive recessed squares. Blue anodised rings on the blade pivot screw, the large handle screw, and the thumb stud add a touch of flair to the Kihon Alu.
