The ESEE-3PM-OD Model 3 is a versatile outdoor/bushcraft/survival knife, highly favored by law enforcement and military personnel for its lightweight design, slim profile, and multiple sheath configurations. The Drop Point blade features a plain edge and flat grind, crafted from OD green powder-coated carbon steel 1095. This knife boasts full-tang construction, meaning the blade extends through the entire knife. While 1095-carbon steel offers excellent toughness, it is not highly corrosion-resistant. It tends to discolor quickly when exposed to moisture, salt, or acid. To maintain its condition, clean the knife after use and occasionally apply a drop of oil. Over time, 1095 steel develops a patina, enhancing its resistance to corrosion. The handle is constructed from orange G10, a composite material made from fiberglass and synthetic resin. This durable material provides a reliable grip in wet or dry conditions, with or without gloves. The handle also features a modified pommel.
