The Ka-bar company has gained fame primarily for its series of military knives, such as the USMC Marine Corps knife or later the Next Generation Fighting Knife model. The Ka-Bar USMC model was used as standard equipment by the US Navy during World War II, and soldiers used these knives not only as weapons but also as tools to assist them in other activities.
