Spyderco Ultra Fine Ceramic Bench Stone Sharpener 3" x 8" The Spyderco Ultra Fine Ceramic Bench Stone Sharpener 3" x 8" is flat, thin, and exceptionally smooth for professional finishing and sharpening of wide tools such as chisels, large knives, woodworking machines, even ski and snowboard edges. Made from Alumina Ceramic, it is manufactured in the United States using a process that combines binder with aluminum oxide particles. The stone is shaped and then fired in a furnace at a temperature of 1649 °C. These ceramic stones require lubricants such as oil or water when in use. The exceptionally fine stone refines and polishes scratches, gently smoothing the cutting edge. The stone is thin enough and lightweight for handheld use. To clean the stone, rinse it in fresh water and scrub it with a powdered abrasive cleaner and wire brush. Rinse and air dry. It comes with a fine suede pouch.
