The company Marble's has been around since the end of the 19th century and over the years has produced many iconic knives and hatchets. When they approached TOPS to create a modern "TOPS-certified" version of the Woodcraft, TOPS was happy to oblige. After all, not every day you are approached to redesign a knife with over 100 years of tradition. Marble's Woodcraft knives mostly featured layered leather handles and metal bolsters. None of these elements are usually seen in TOPS designs. So Leo Espinoza found a way to approach the Marble's look and maintain the typical elements of TOPS Knives. Two different colors of micarta were used on the handle and one piece was inserted into the other. The TOPS version also features a Midnight Bronze Cerakote finish as a great addition to the handle. The sheath was designed to match the old "cowboy" models, which had most of the handle covered with a leather sheath to protect the knife from scratches or snags when passing through thick bushes. The dimensions and design are as close as possible to the Marble version, but bring new life to this knife. Still a classic design, great for hunting, camping, and of course wilderness work. The full tang construction blade is made of high carbon steel 1095. The handle is made of durable micarta providing a solid grip even in extreme conditions.
